I was born with Sickle Cell Anemia
Sickle cells are a type of red blood cell characterized by their elongated, sickle-shaped shape. This distinctive shape is caused by a genetic mutation in hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in the blood. People who have this genetic mutation usually suffer from a disease called sickle cell anemia, which can cause various health problems due to the difficulty of these cells to circulate properly through the blood vessels, which can cause blockage of the vessels, pain , fatigue,
I wasn’t getting enough oxygen to my cells and I wasn’t getting the necessary nutrients either.
From a very young age I began to feel fatigue, pain, swelling, frequent infections, as well as cold hands and sweaty feet, my bones were very fragile and I fell all the time.
I was condemned to a life of discomfort, but I was born with the blessing of being the great-granddaughter of Francisca Amparo, who was the midwife and healer of the entire region.
My ancestors’ formulas healed me! Mama Francisca saved me
My great-grandmother was a wonderful healer. From her Indigenous-Taíno/African roots, she inherited hundreds of sacred plant formulas that served to heal and relieve the pain of many people in her community. The stories with countless.
I was one of them
My great-grandmother passed away when I turned 15 and that was when I suffered my first crisis. I passed out at university. Remembering all the years I was close to Mama when she prepared her remedy for me and with the help of my aunts and grandmother, I had no choice but to create the preparation myself.
I had to take the combination of plants that Mom Francisca prepared for me daily. I should not let a single day pass, since my health depended on it. Due to work obligations I again neglected my great-grandmother’s advice and it almost cost me my life.
I stopped taking her remedies for more than two weeks, I ended up in the hospital with critical hemoglobin levels (4.2) and two strokes (Cerebral Cardiovascular Accident) due to lack of oxygen in the brain. I needed transfusions and emergency iron.
I learned that women with my condition have an average lifespan that does not exceed 47 years. At that moment I understood why I was in intensive care. Facing the constant risk of future problems. I looked for formulas similar to Mama Francisca’s combinations, but unfortunately, I did not find anything similar on the market.

I started collecting herbs taught by my great-grandmother
The result was surprising! In just 2 weeks, my immune system fully recovered, impressing my neurologist and the team assisting me at the hospital.
The time has come to make it a reality. In 2009, I shared my story with a Scientific eminence, Doctor in Organic Chemistry and Botanical Chemistry, Dr David Terrero (With 12 scientific Patents approved by the FDA).
My desire to share my great-grandmother’s knowledge was close to being a reality.
Upon discovering that in no US or American market there was a combination similar to Mama Francisca’s natural herbal combinations, we joined forces to unlock its potential, adjusting the appropriate proportions, combining the best of the past with the scientific advances of the present.
- Hemoglobin levels improved, without permanent damage to the brain or body after Cardiovascular Accidents. I experienced a full recovery.
- My personal experience convinced me that a cure is possible for everyone.
We saw the opportunity to make a difference. Sickle cell anemia mainly affects Afro-descendant populations, Hispanics and communities from the Middle East, Europe and various ethnic groups around the world. Treatments are expensive and inaccessible in some regions.

AURA CASTRO
Mrs. Aura Castro is a distinguished entrepreneur and researcher with over 30 years of experience. As the CEO and Founder of AC Plaza Accounting and Latino Tax School, she has been providing expert income tax services, IRS audit representation, and business school training since 1994. Additionally, she founded Bixahuman Research Lab in 2010, focusing on the research of Annatto and its cultural significance among Amazonian and Caribbean tribes. Mrs. Castro’s work includes linguistic comparisons, DNA research, and the historical application of herbal formulations. She holds extensive education in taxation, accounting, and linguistic research.
DR. DAVID TERRERO
Dr. José David Terrero holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the natural products program (University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain, 1994, with postdoctoral studies at the Spanish National Research Council, CSIC (Spain, 2002)) and the Canary Institute of Agrobiology and Natural Products. He is currently a researcher at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and also at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD). He is an active Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic (ACRD) member. He received 3 patents registered with the USPTO, the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has published 11 scientific articles and 1 book and has made more than 30 presentations at scientific meetings in various countries.
ELIZABETH VARGAS
Elizabeth Vargas is a seasoned financial advisor at Santander Investment Securities, where she has been applying her extensive expertise in financial management and advisory services. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Kean University, where she graduated in 1999. With a solid educational foundation and years of practical experience, Elizabeth is dedicated to providing exceptional financial guidance to her clients, helping them achieve their investment and financial goals with tailored strategies and personalized advice.
ROBERTO BUSTAMANTE
Roberto J. Bustamante Flores is a distinguished journalist with a 35-year career in communications. His journey began in Lima in 1970, working as a reporter and public relations specialist in various institutions. In 1980, he emigrated to the United States, where he worked for major outlets like Noticias del Mundo and Diario La Prensa in New York. In New Jersey, he became the first Peruvian-American professional in the Governor’s Press Office and played a crucial role in the Attorney General’s Communications Office for 12 years. His work included informational campaigns and support programs for the Hispanic community, focusing on combating discrimination and promoting social justice. His dedication and professional ethics have earned him significant recognitions, including an Honorary Doctorate from Essex County College.
DR. CHARISSA D. PIZARRO
Dr. Charissa D. Pizarro is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey, recognized for her extensive academic training and dedicated professional career. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. With over eight years of running her own practice, she has conducted complex psychological assessments, provided specialized therapy, and clinically supervised other professionals. Additionally, she has made significant contributions at Hoboken University Medical Center by expanding and developing support and clinical supervision programs. Charissa is a renowned TEDx speaker and author, committed to social justice and supporting mental health in diverse communities.
DR. CESAR A. PRUSS
Dr. Cesar Pruss specializes in Naturopathic Medicine, utilizing natural methods to aid the body’s healing process. He earned his Doctorate from the American School of Medicine in Stamford, CT. With a particular interest in supporting cancer patients through Naturopathic treatments, he is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Pruss combines his passion for holistic medicine with compassionate and empathetic care, tailoring treatments to individual needs. He also brings over 15 years of experience working with children and adults in intensive care at the state hospital in Rosario, Argentina.
DR. ANADINA GARCÍA
Dr. Anadina Garcia boasts a distinguished career in nonclinical and preclinical operations with over 15 years of expertise in toxicology and pharmacology study management. Currently the Sr. Manager of Nonclinical Operations at Vigil Neuroscience, Dr. Garcia has previously held pivotal roles at Bristol Myers Squibb, Karuna Therapeutics, and Amicus Therapeutics. She has led numerous in vivo studies, optimized research processes, and significantly contributed to early drug discovery and development. Dr. Garcia holds a Master of Business and Science from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from William Paterson University. Her dedication to ethical animal research and excellence in operations management has earned her multiple promotions throughout her career.
